🎯 Audit and State of the District Presentation Milestones
We're making strides to ensure every student receives a high-quality education. Here’s what’s happening:
Our February Professional Development Day focused on data-driven instruction and vertical articulation.
Looking Ahead: Joint PD Day with Branchburg is planned for next year to foster collaboration.
Using Data to Improve Learning
School leaders and teachers are closely analyzing student performance data to guide instruction.
Weekly progress tracking is in place to monitor student growth and refine intervention strategies.
Helping Multilingual and Struggling Learners Succeed
Eighty-nine teachers received training in Sheltered English Instruction to better support students.
Training sessions will continue to ensure these strategies are effectively implemented.
Extra Learning Support for Students
Administrators are using iReady/NJSLA data to identify areas where students need additional support in reading and math.
A six-week Extended Day Math and Reading program will begin in April at VDV and SMS.
The Rutgers Online Reading Program will launch soon to support literacy development.
Building Stronger Data Teams
Monthly meetings are taking place to keep administrators/teachers aligned on student progress.
Plans are in place to use end-of-year assessment data to guide student placements for next year.
A partnership with LinkIt is helping schools better understand and use student performance data.
Hiring and Retaining Great Teachers
A new hiring system is streamlining recruitment and selection processes.
The district is actively attending job fairs to attract and recruit top educators.
